Hi! I’m Suja Sukumaran, founder of Homeward Australia
When you’re moving to Australia with family, you don’t just need a house - you need a home, a school, and a roadmap. I know this firsthand. After relocating across five countries with my own family, I experienced the mix of excitement and stress that comes with starting over somewhere new.
That’s why I started Homeward: to take the guesswork out of relocating to Australia and give families the confidence I wished for during my own moves.
Every relocation I went through taught me the same lesson: finding a rental from overseas is stressful, school enrolments are difficult without an address, and families can end up spending thousands on temporary accommodation. Families moving with pets often face even more pressure because pet-friendly short-term options can be limited. That’s why we help families secure a rental before arriving in Australia and plan their move with more clarity.
As a registered land agent (SA) and a mum, I realised I could bring together my industry expertise, lived relocation experience, and deep local knowledge to create a service that makes moving simpler. Homeward Australia was born to solve the problems I once faced so you don’t have to.

Every property inspected in person, with video and honest feedback, for as long as it takes to find the right one

Deliveries such as mattresses and appliances accepted prior to arrival
Led by Suja, a registered land agent (SA), we handle the details so you arrive to a home that's ready. We make sure you arrive supported, settled, and ready to call Australia home.

Why We’re Different
Unlimited viewings. We inspect every home in person, with video and our honest opinion, for as long as it takes to find the right one.
A registered land agent leads every move. Not a call centre, not a template. Suja will personally oversee your search.
No rental, no fee. Half our fee is due when you sign our contract and is fully refunded if we can't secure you a rental. The remaining half is due when we secure your lease.
Current market knowledge. Everything we tell you comes from this year's rental market and this year's applications.
